Anna Jacobson

This work involves drawing on the past and family history in the search to form a better understanding of identity. Touching on the collective consciousness of the Jewish Diaspora, this seriers also looks at my personal journey of trying to find, uncover, contemplate and piece together past histories.

Layers of photographs, passports and diary entries have been interwoven with cultural tradition, symbolism and metaphors. The viewer can also bring their own interpretations and experience to the work and clues left behind.
